Healthcare

New to the parish in 2002 is the AED (Automated External Defibrillator) equipment. All district fire departments and the Grant Parish Sheriff's Office have AED equipment and trained operators. The American Heart Association and Rapides Foundation donated the AEDs to the parish agencies.

Grant Parish is served by three medical clinics:

Grant-CENLA Rural Health Clinic located in Colfax (318) 627-3700

Montgomery Medical Clinic (318) 646-3000

Pollock operated by Dr. Bruce Craig (318) 765-3750

Grant Parish has a new health network called the Grant Life Enhancement Network. It's focus to educate the public of the available options for health care and prescriptions. Local partners include the Chamber, the Police Jury, the Library, the Council on Aging, North Centrala, the School Board, the Ward Seven Hospital District, and the J.W. Gaines Action Team.
